Frame Contemporary Arts Finland is seeking applications to provide grant for an International Art Publication.
The purpose of the grant is to promote the international career development of Finnish artists. The purpose of grants awarded by Frame is based on the strategy of the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and Frame’s own strategy.
For which purpose can a project grant be applied for?
The project grant may be applied for foreign-language publications with international distribution that present the work of Finnish artists or artists based in Finland, or Finnish art in general.
Project grants can only be applied for to cover the following expenses:
- printing expenses;
- writer fees;
- translation fees.
Project grants cannot be spent on:
- per diems, living costs;
- studies, theses;
Who can apply?
- Finnish artists or artists based in Finland;
- Finnish or foreign publishers;
- Finnish or foreign contemporary art organisations.
Required appendices
- Publication Plan: a description of the publication and its significance for the artist’s international career, as well as publisher, scope, print run, date of release, work group (i.e. writers, photographer, translator, graphic designer).
- International Distribution Plan: how will the publication be distributed globally.
- Curriculum Vitae (1–2 pages) or biography per each participating Finnish artist.
- 3–5 images per participating Finnish artist.
