The Community Foundation of the North State has announced the Community Arts Endowment Fund – 2020 to support the presentation and creation of pieces of new work by artists and arts organizations and will ensure the arts communities in Shasta and Siskiyou County flourish forever.
Created by and for the people of Shasta and Siskiyou counties, Community Foundation of the North State is a tax-exempt charitable organization working to enhance the quality of life for all people in the North State region. In partnership with their generous donors, we are building resources that will serve our communities now and in the future.
The Articipate Campaign that began in 2010 is now the Community Arts Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of the North State. This Field of Interest fund essentially pools the donations of many to support the arts in our region today and forever. Through the power of endowment, a gift made to the fund today will continue to grow, allowing grants for the presentation and creation of “new artistic work” to be given in support of artists and art projects in perpetuity.The Fund awards grants primarily for the creation and public presentation of new work by artists and arts organizations in Shasta and Siskiyou counties. Fields supported by these grants may include but are not limited to: dance, theater, music, writing, sculpture, painting, photography, film, and graphic design.
Grants are awarded to:
- Nonprofit, public organizations with tax exempt status under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code,
- Public schools,
- Other public organizations, and
- Individual artists.
Funding Information
- Minimum grant amount of $1,000 and up to $2,500.

Fields supported by these grants may include but are not limited to: dance, theater, music, writing, sculpture, painting, photography, film, and graphic design.
