The Auckland Council has announced an open call for the Franklin Quick Response Grant Programme.
Priorities

Their grants will be targeted towards supporting the following priorities:
- Support community and iwi driven initiatives that will protect and restore the natural environment and address the impacts of climate change.
- Protect and enhance the mauri (lifeforce) of their awa (waterways), moana (harbour) and ngahere (indigenous forests).
- Enable their people to engage with local history and share their cultures.
- Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with Māori.
- Their people are supported to actively contribute to their community and the places they live.
- Support community-led arts and local events that bring people together to meet each other and have fun at no or low cost.
- Their community support agencies, resident groups and marae are supported to coordinate or deliver a range of community wellbeing and resilience services and programmes.

- adhere to the Smokefree Policy
- promote waste minimisation and endorse zero waste practices.

Lower priorities
- retrospective costs
- vouchers and gifts
- costs towards travel expenses, salaries, vehicles, electronic and sports equipment, sports uniforms and catering
- organisations that have a closed membership, i.e. the benefit is for members only and there is limited benefit to the wider community.
