La French Tech is seeking applications for its Attractiveness Grant Program which aims to support projects in France that promote the French Tech ecosystem and the best start-ups to their target audience: foreign talents, investors, entrepreneurs, and/or executives in charge of international development.
The grant is financed by the State. It provides a maximum of 60% of the total budget of the project. The balance must be mobilized through direct funding from the project leader or third parties (sponsors, etc.).
What kind of initiatives do they fund?
They are looking for initiatives that have a strong impact for the whole ecosystem and advance their strategy of international attractiveness, by promoting:
- French Tech as an open, attractive and cutting-edge start-up ecosystem ’innovation;
- France as a leader in the field of Tech, a breeding ground for talent and resources.
Eligibility Criteria
- The initiative must take place between September 1, 2022 and August 31, 2023.
- Candidate structures must not have already received more than 200,000 euros in public aid, from all funders (State and local authorities) over the last 3 years under the same State aid scheme. The organizer must have a French legal structure.
- With regard to events, the initiative must mobilize a minimum of 40% of women among the speakers. If the event is physical, it must take place in France.
- The winners of the 2021-2022 French Tech Attractiveness Grant must have completed their project before applying.
- The credits allocated range up to 80,000 euros, depending on the format of the proposed initiative. For example, in the context of an event, the amount of financing can go up to 20,000 euros for a digital format, up to 50,000 euros for a hybrid format and up to 80,000 euros for a face-to-face format.
Eligibility Conditions
To be a winner, candidates for the 2022-2023 French Tech Attractiveness Grant must meet certain mandatory conditions.
- All supporting documents must be provided when submitting the application.
- The maximum amount of aid authorized must not be reached or exceeded.
- Projects subsidized during the previous edition of the Bourse French Tech Attractif must be, at least, completed before the start of the period for taking into account the expenses of the Bourse French Tech Attractif 2022-2023 (condition reserved for winners previous years).
