The City of Onkaparinga has launched the Fund Your Dreams Grants to support many community groups, businesses and individuals who make the community a vibrant place to live, work and play.
Purpose
- The Fund Your Dreams Grants recognise and support young people in accessing opportunities that will build their capacity and foster their passions.
Funding Information
- Grants of up to $1000 per group or $500 per individual available per application.
- Duration: completed acquittal form within three months of the completion date of the activity (or by 30 June 2023 at the latest).
Eligible Activities
Some examples of capacity building activities include but are not limited to:
- conferences
- project work
- leadership programs.
What they won’t fund?
- money already spent
- recurrent operational costs such as postage, telephone, stationery, electricity, maintenance or public liability insurance.
- where a council grant already exists for the proposal, these will be deemed ineligible for Fund Your Dreams grant. To avoid disappointment, contact the Grants Officer to determine which grants best suits your proposal.
- Applications must be received at least four weeks before the scheduled commencement of the activity.
Eligibility Criteria
- This grant is open to individuals, not-for-profit organisations, schools and businesses.
- All applicants under the age of 18, a parent/guardian declaration form must be submitted with the application.
- All applicants must be between the ages of 8-25 years and live in the City of Onkaparinga or be an organisation or business that works with young people who live, learn, work or play in the City of Onkaparinga.
Ineligible
- Elected members and employees of the City of Onkaparinga must not be involved in the development of a grant application and are not eligible to sign or be listed on any grant application.
Conditions
The successful applicant will be required to sign the Conditions of Funding and agree:
- that the contribution received from the City of Onkaparinga will be expended as outlined in the application, unless otherwise negotiated.
- to acknowledge City of Onkaparinga’s funding of the activity in any publicity or promotion.
- that it is the responsibility of the applicant or parent/guardian if under the age of 18 to obtain and hold all necessary insurances and take all necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance.
- to indemnify City of Onkaparinga against all actions, costs, claims, charges and expenses whatsoever for any matter arising out of this activity.
