The Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants (OVSJG) is seeking applications for funding for services and supports for Building Blocks DC.

Building Blocks DC, and its partnered Gun Violence Prevention Emergency Operations Center, is the first-of-its-kind in the country to address gun violence using a public health approach.
Building Blocks DC focuses on the small number of individuals responsible for a significant percent of gun violence in the District and the small number of places where the most gun violence is occurring, all while building sustainability the Emergency Operations Center which coordinates violence prevention efforts currently lead by District agencies, nonprofit partners, and community-lead efforts.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Any public or private, community-based non-profit agency, organization or institution that has a District business license and provides services or goods within the District is eligible to apply.
  • For profit organizations are eligible but may not include profit in their grant application. For profit organizations may also participate as subcontractors to eligible agencies.
