Funding for Young Māori Artists or Young Artists in New Zealand

Deadline: 11-Oct-22

Funding is available for young Māori artists or young artists to start a career in the arts.

Toi Tipu Toi Rea was established in 2013 to respond to feedback from the Nga Toi Māori sector, that is, to support Ringatoi Autaia Māori and artists to carry out an art project.

Benefit: Your project or activities must directly benefit New Zealand arts, artists or practitioners.

Types of Funding

There are three types of funding: Ngā toi Māori, Pacific arts and General arts. There are additional eligibility requirements for Ngā toi Māori and Pacific arts funding types. You may be eligible for more than one type of funding, but you can only choose one for your application.

What can be funded?

The only costs that can be claimed are those incurred from the start to the end of the termination. They do not cover the cost of space or shipping.
