The City of Wodonga is now inviting applications for its Community Partnership Grants to provide funding for not-for-profit organisations to develop community partnerships and grow ideas in an innovative way to improve the city. The program is designed to support start-up initiatives and encourage collaboration.
Focus Areas
- The program links to the key focus areas of the council. These include:
- Healthy, safe, and resilient community;
- Connected and engaged community;
- Sustainable and forward-looking;
- Thriving and vibrant community; and,
- Strong, responsible, and sound leadership.
Funding Information
- Community organisations can apply for grants up to $10,000 as a one-off or as recurrent funding over two or three years (conditions apply).
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for funding under the grants program, applicants must:
- Provide direct benefits to residents of Wodonga;
- Be not-for-profit as classified by the Australian Tax Office in the Income Tax Assessment Act 1936; and,
- Be an incorporated association, indigenous corporation or a community group that has an auspicing body;
- Hold an adequate public liability insurance policy to cover the staff, members, volunteers, and the public, as appropriate (at least $10 million, $20 million for high-risk activities).
Who is not eligible to apply?
- An applicant will be ineligible to receive funding through the program if they:
- Are an individual;
- Are a government organisation;
- Are an unincorporated organisation, group, or club without not-for-profit status;
- Are a private, for-profit organisation;
- Are already receiving ongoing financial support from the council for a project/event/service;
- Have an outstanding debt to council or have not satisfactorily reported back to council on previous funding;
- Are an educational institution requesting funding for a project/activity that forms part of a regular curricular program; or,
- Are seeking funding for:
- Past projects and initiatives;
- Fundraising or sponsorship; or
- Repairs or maintenance to council-owned facilities or properties.
