The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs Office of Assistance Coordination (NEA/AC) has announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for projects designed to support women’s economic empowerment initiatives in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

With comparable information across the region, this NOFO seeks proposals for funding of a multi-year project to assist economic stakeholders develop action plans that seek to recruit, retain, and promote qualified women in the formal sector and explore ways to improve measures, policies, and practices that control the informal economy in which women are heavily involved.
