The Government of Canada is currently accepting applications for funding from organizations interested in receiving financial assistance from the Social Development Partnerships Program – Disability component (SDPP-D).
SDPP-D supports projects intended to improve the participation and integration of people with disabilities in all aspects of Canadian society. More specifically, the program supports not-for-profit organizations across Canada in tackling barriers faced by people with disabilities with respect to social inclusion.
The objective of this CFP is to invite eligible organizations with a disability-focused mandate, who are also pursuing activities in line with relevant SDPP-D objectives, to submit proposals on innovative projects that will explore new ways of reducing barriers for people with disabilities, or those which build on existing programs and services.
Objectives
Relevant SDPP objectives are:
- support the development and utilization of effective approaches to address social issues and challenges
- develop, exchange and apply knowledge, tools and resources that address social needs of individuals, families and communities
- foster partnerships and networks to address existing and emerging social issues.
Expected Outcomes
- innovative approaches to reducing barriers to social inclusion for people with disabilities are identified, developed, and tested
- the not-for-profit disability sector establishes formal partnerships.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for funding under this CFP, organizations must meet all of the following requirements:
- a national, federally incorporated, not-for-profit organization
- an organization whose mandate is disability-focused (please provide this information in Question 22A of the Application for Funding)
- an organization with an annual revenue of less than $10M
- an organization that has managed a grant or contribution agreement(s) with ESDC and/or another federal/provincial/territorial government department(s) or agency(ies) valued at $50,000 or above in the past five years.
