The Government of Canada is seeking applications from eligible organizations interested in receiving contribution funding from the Enabling Accessibility Fund for mid-sized projects.
Funding will support the construction, renovation and retrofit of accessible facilities or venues in Canadian communities that offer or plan to offer programs and/or services that focus on a holistic approach in addressing the social and/or labour market integration needs of people with disabilities.
Expected Results
This process seeks to:
- increase accessibility in facilities and venues for people with disabilities;
- increase access for people with disabilities to programs/services; and,
- increase opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in and contribute to community life and/or the labour market.
Funding Information
The amount of funding requested from ESDC must be between $350,000 and $1,000,000.
Eligible Recipients
- Not for profit organizations (including social enterprises)
- Municipalities
- Indigenous organizations (including band councils, tribal councils and self-government entities)
- Territorial governments
Ineligible Recipients
- For profit organizations
- Federal and provincial governments
- Crown corporations and entities that are controlled by the federal and provincial government
