Grants for Seeding Expertise in Networks of Digital Protection Providers serving Threatened Groups: US

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) has announced an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for projects to strengthen the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms online through an open, interoperable, reliable, and secure global Internet.

Competitive programs will develop and deploy sustainable mechanisms for supporting networks of digital protectors of marginalized, vulnerable, or at-risk communities (Protection Providers) in identifying, developing, and utilizing expertise and networks necessary to respond to emergent threats.
