The Women’s Fund in Georgia announces the grant program “Promotion of Dalkheni practices* in the feminist movement”, which is financially supported by the organization “Equality Fund”.
The grant program aims to bring caring practices and trauma-focused learning into the space of the feminist movement.
The program will allow women’s groups or women’s rights activists to implement the following interventions:
- Creating safe, harmonious spaces for feminist activists, representatives of various social movements and women’s rights defenders, who strive for the collective liberation of oppressed and marginalized groups, and often belong to these groups themselves.
- Creative initiatives aimed at the development of the women’s movement, inter – cultural dialogue, solidarity and inter – movement cooperation and causing changes.
- Interventions aimed at empowering members of the feminist movement (introducing collective care practices, strengthening digital and physical security protection skills, etc.).
Topics
- Suggested topics can be:
- Generational trauma and collective traumas;
- Dalkhena as a political strategy;
- creating a team;
- radical relaxation;
- alternative economic systems and collective care;
- the health of feminist and queer activism;
- culture of appreciation and gratitude;
- political body;
- Human connection with nature and the wisdom of ancestors;
- Other.
Funding Information
- The maximum grant amount is 13,300 Canadian dollars. The duration of projects is determined up to 6 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Formal and informal women’s groups (registered non-governmental organizations and initiative groups) can participate in the grant program.
- Within the framework of the competition, the Women’s Fund will support the following projects:
- which are implemented by women
- whose direct and ultimate beneficiaries are women
- Priority will be given to projects presented by registered organizations.
