The Greater Western Water is seeking applications for its Community Grants to provide up to $20,000 for projects or activities that help communities, environment, individuals and industry to develop and thrive.
Funding Information
- Local organisations can apply for up to $20,000 for projects and initiatives that:
- support development in the region
- address a community need and use local networks and resources to deliver a clear community benefit
- are locally-led and support diverse community groups to succeed.
- Examples include:
- learning, careers and mentoring programs
- industry and agriculture research
- First Nations and cultural community partnerships
- projects that help create a healthy environment and sustainable use of water.
What can the funds be used for?
- The funds can be used to support your activity or project including coordination and facilitation, purchase of materials, marketing, venue hire and skills development.
- Funds cannot be used for capital works, permits, scholarships or prize money, emergency relief, high-risk events or projects that are for commercial gain.
Eligibility Criteria
- They welcome applications from organisations that:
- are based in GWW’s service area
- are an incorporated, not-for-profit community organisation or can prove an auspice arrangement with an appropriate organisation
- are an educational or health organisation, or local government
- have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and Australian bank account
- have the required insurances, such as professional indemnity and/or public liability insurance
- demonstrate that the project can be delivered within 12 months of the funding agreement.
- You are not eligible to apply if:
- you are a GWW employee or supplier
- the project or initiative has already been delivered or commenced
- your proposal has previously received funding from GWW
- you have not met previous obligations to GWW on grant and project reporting.
