Grigg Lewis Foundation offering up to $100,000 to continue the philanthropic work in the US

Viet Nam: Call for Submission of Small Local Projects 2023

Deadline: 09-Jul-21

The Grigg Lewis Foundation is seeking applications for its grant program to continue the philanthropic works that began with and were carried on by Henrietta G. Lewis.

The Grigg Lewis Foundation, Inc. is a private non-operating foundation that is required to distribute at least 5% of their assets annually for charitable purposes.

The financial market plays a large part in their decision making, as their board members have a fiduciary responsibility to honor their founder’s wishes, and to ensure that the Foundation continues in perpetuity.

The Foundation has often granted over and above this required 5% distribution, but must weigh their current investment performance to ensure they are not consistently taking from their principal.

Each request is reviewed carefully and objectively to ensure that they are here, as an asset to the residents of Eastern Niagara County and the greater part of Western New York, for many generations to come.

Beginning in January 2021 and going forward,  and in order to evaluate available funding and better accommodate their grantees, all grant requests of $100,000.00 or more will only be considered at their third quarter board meeting.
