Hedayah is currently inviting applications for its Strengthening Resilience to Violence and Extremism -STRIVE Global Research to Explore the Drivers of Extreme Violence in Georgia. The programme is funded by EU with the overall objective of building the capacity of state and non-state actors to effectively challenge radicalization and recruitment to violent extremism, while continuing to respect human rights and international law.
The global objective of this call for proposals is to develop research resources that provide an evidence base for CVE interventions.
Objective
The specific objective of this call for proposals is to support research initiatives aiming to explore the drivers of terrorism with a view to:
- Rooting and understanding the radicalization and appeal of terrorism.
- Profiling radical actors, terrorism supporters and foreign fighters, motivations and aspirations.
- Guiding actions to stop processes of radicalization that lead individuals towards violent extremism, reduce radicalization to terrorism and to identify what tools will best work to counter the threat and to build sustainable preventative measures.

Funding Information
- The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is EUR 100,000.
- Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
- minimum amount: EUR 10,000
- maximum amount: EUR 50,000
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- be a legal person established in Georgia
- be non-profit-making and
- be a civil society organization or university, including non-governmental non-profit organizations and interdependent political foundations, community based organizations, private sector non-profit agencies, institutions and organizations and networks at local, national, regional and international level with headquarters in Georgia and
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant (s) and affiliated entity (ies), not acting as an intermediary and
- have a strong background in social research in the field.
- The lead applicant may act individually or with co-applicant(s)
