The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is seeking applicants from organizations strongly focused on research and is part of academia or the private sector and research institutes worldwide for its “ Fund innovations in livestock vaccines” (FIVB) that will allow researchers to take advantage of recent advances in biotechnology and vaccinology that now offer unprecedented opportunities to develop new generation of vaccines for livestock.
The FIVB is to improve the health of livestock and the livelihoods of small farmers by supporting the development, production and marketing of vaccines against priority diseases of livestock in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia and Southeast.
Funding Information
A maximum of 8 research projects will get grants, up to a maximum amount of 1,500,000 CAD each for a period of 24 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- This call for proposals is open to applicants from organizations strongly focused on research and is part of academia or the private sector and research institutes worldwide.
- All proposals must have the potential to lead to the rapid development of a commercial vaccine against one or more diseases of livestock in the affected regions.
