India: Second Chance Education and Vocational Learning Programme

CII Foundation's Woman Exemplar Award in India

Deadline: 11-Apr-22

UN Women invites proposals from civil society organisations for establishing training-cum-production centres in at least two out of three second chance education (SCE) programme districts (Jalagon, Nadurbar, and Mumbai M-Ward) in Maharashtra, India under the SCE and Vocational Learning Programme.

The Programme has built upon and expanded UN Women’s ongoing work and is offering pathways for young women and women, who have dropped out of education, either back into formal education or to employment or entrepreneurship.

The programme is also creating an evidence-based advocacy for women and young women’s second chance education and vocational learning through engagement with national and local policy makers and influencing frameworks/policies and strategies that enable marginalized women and young women to return to and remain in school and/or access vocational and entrepreneurial learning opportunities.
