Individual Artists Grant for Individual Artists in Canada

The First Peoples’ Cultural Council (FPCC) has announced an Individual Artists Grant that helps artists to improve their skills and knowledge, pursue new approaches, exhibit, perform and gain recognition from their peers.

The Individual Artists grant provides funding to artists working in any discipline, including visual arts, music, dance, ceremony, weaving, carving, theatre, literature and more. Funding supports traditional, contemporary and experimental art forms.

The Individual Artists grant is intended solely for Indigenous artists in B.C., from emerging to advanced, who have demonstrated a commitment to their artistic practice across all forms of creative expressions including but not limited to visual, oral, ceremonial, performance, music, sculpture, carving, weaving, literary, and dance. Applicants of all skill levels must demonstrate commitment to their creative expression and be working to develop their practice to a higher level.
