The inGrained Foundation has announced the 2021 Northern Rivers Large Grants Program to provide funding to charitable organisations to implement projects to create sustained positive change.
The inGrained Foundation’s Northern Rivers Large Grants Program returns with a $100,000 funding pool, ready to support a diverse range of local not-for-profits.
For 2021 the Foundation will be focussing on projects based in the Northern Rivers region, under the following categories:
- Conservation of natural resources and habitats
- Action on climate change
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Accommodation and homelessness
- Inclusion and diversity
Funding Information
- To reflect the diverse range of work in the community, grants are available between $5,000 to $30,000.
Eligibility Criteria
For 2021, applicants must:
- Be a not-for-profit with DGR status, or be in partnership with a DGR status organisation with an auspicing agreement with the applicant
- Implement the project in the Northern Rivers region
- Address one of the five target categories
- Develop a distinct project with milestones and outcomes. Project completion must be before 30th June, 2022
Assessment Process
Applications will be assessed by the InGrained Foundation’s Grants Committee, who will be score the application on four key themes:
- Impact

- Is there a clear link between the aims of the project and the beneficiaries in need?
- Does the project address an area of need within the Northern Rivers?
- Timeline
- Does the project have clearly defined milestones and an achievable timeline?
- Feasibility & Financials
- Does the organisation have the capability and resources to complete the project?
- Sustainability
- Will the project’s benefits continue on after grant funding has been spent?
