To celebrate and promote the contribution of Tasmanian women to their communities, the Tasmanian Government is funding a competitive grant program to support International Women’s Day (IWD) events run by local organisations across the State.
Areas
- This funding aims to support events that promote and raises awareness of women’s contributions and achievements, and advances women’s knowledge, access, and equality across the following areas:
- Economic Security
- Leadership and Participation
- Safety
- Health and Wellbeing.
Funding Information
- The total funding pool is $20,000. Organisations can apply for grant of up to $2,000 for each application.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants who can apply must:
- be a local government authority (council); or
- be a parents and friends association; or
- be an incorporated association, not-for-profit organisation.
- Organisations that are a current grant recipient from the Department of Premier and Cabinet, or previously with Department of Communities Tasmania (Communities Tasmania) and whose reporting and acquittal obligations have not been met, will not receive funding until those obligations have been resolved.
Ineligibility Criteria
- The following entities are not eligible for funding:
- Australian and Tasmanian Government agencies
- Tertiary institutions
- Political parties
- Individuals or sole traders
- For-profit organisations
