The Bureau of Counterterrorism (CT) of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to build the Kingdom of Jordan’s ability to screen for, identify, and counter the illicit transfer of weapons, explosives, and related materials efficiently and effectively.
Objective(s)
- Evaluate Jordan’s current screening capabilities of passengers, vehicles, and cargo, for explosives trace detection at official points of entry and identify areas of potential overlap or improvement.
- Modify and implement revised standard operating procedures to cohesively screen for, identify, and counter WMDs, conventional weapons, explosives, and related materials in a coordinated fashion.
- Clearly define security roles and responsibilities at official points of entry (POEs) to ensure smooth coordination.
