The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is pleased to announce that it is seeking applications for Juvenile Justice Incentive Grant Program to competitive funding for qualified counties in the State of Georgia.
The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is designated by the Governor of Georgia as the State Administering Agency for criminal justice and victims’ assistance programs. Created by the General Assembly, the Council is comprised of 27 members representing various components of the criminal justice system. The CJCC is charged with fiscal oversight of the Juvenile Justice Incentive Grant Program.
Funding Information
- Award Period: July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023
- Award Amount: Up to $750,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants are limited to local county commissions/boards of commissioners to apply on behalf of juvenile courts within Georgia.
- High priority will be given to the eighteen (18) counties that commit the highest numbers of juveniles to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
- The availability of funds is dependent on appropriations from the U.S. Department of Justice and the Georgia State Legislature.
- The Office reserves the right to reduce the number of funds available based on government budgetary actions.
- The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, (CFDA 16.540) administers a portion of these funds at the national level.
- An eligible applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a public government entity;
- Serve as the fiscal agent for the grant and the point of contact to CJCC; and,
- Be responsible, liable, and oversee the financial, program, and post-award reporting requirements.
