“la Caixa” Foundation has announced a call for applications to collaborate in projects that respond to current social needs and that are aimed at people who are in vulnerable situations, through non-profit organizations in Catalonia.
Areas of Action
- The promotion of personal autonomy and care for aging, disability and illness:
- Elderly people and challenges derived from aging.
- People with disabilities or mental disorders.
- Humanization of health.
- Fight against poverty in the family environment and social exclusion (includes cultural activities for social inclusion).
- Socio-labor insertion.
- Interculturality and social action.
Funding Information
Applications may be submitted in one of the following ways:
- Mode 1
- Up to € 40,000 may be requested.
- The amount requested may not exceed 75% of the total cost of the project.
- If the project is selected, the entity agrees to contribute at least 25% of the total cost of the project according to the budget presented, regardless of the amount of aid granted.
- Mode 2
- They may request from € 40,000 and up to 100,000 €.
- The amount requested may not exceed 50% of the total cost of the project.
- In the event that the project is selected, the entity agrees to contribute at least 50% of the total cost of the project according to the budget presented, regardless of the amount of aid awarded.
Eligibility Criteria
- The entities that can present themselves to the call are:
- Non-profit entities.
- Entities of the social economy whose statutes explicitly state, among the stated purposes, the main objective of the social interest or social cohesion.
- Entities that are part of the public sector and corporate foundations (business or banking) are excluded from this call.
