The Kansas Leadership Center (KLC) is pleased to announce Leadership Transformation Grants Program that aims to provides your organization the chance to send individuals to KLC programs, while collaborating with other KLC partners across the state who are managing similar kinds of challenges.
To accommodate the various needs of their partners, They plan to offer both in-person and virtual programs throughout 2022, with the addition of an evening virtual offering of Your Leadership Edge. In-person Your Leadership Edge programs will be held in Wichita and the Kansas City area.
Organizations receiving a Leadership Transformation grant will have one year to utilize their awarded program slots by attending programs on the KLC Path:
- Your Leadership Edge
- Lead for Change
- Equip to Lead
Each partner organization will establish a Core Team to take on the responsibilities of the grant. This team of 3-6 individuals, one of whom must be of senior authority in your organization, needs to be identified on the grant application. Should your organization be selected, your Core Team will be responsible for:
- Attending KLC events and programs.
- Recruiting and support participants.
- Participating in regular evaluation efforts.
- Utilizing KLC resources, coaching and consultation.
Eligibility Criteria
Any organization from Kansas can apply, but they imagine the following types of organizations best suited for the grant:
- Business Sector: Rotary clubs, chambers, young professional groups, civic clubs, business associations
- Education Sector: school districts, higher level institutions, school support organizations, educational networks
- Faith Sector: churches, Islamic societies, temples, district level entities, collaborative faith alliances.
- Government Sector: city, county, state government agencies.
- Non-Profit Sector: community foundations, health organizations, social advocacy organizations.
Participants who speak Spanish are also able to participate in their Spanish Language program, Avanzando Juntos. With multiple offerings throughout the year, participants are free to choose when to attend their next program on the KLC Path. Path programs must be attended in consecutive order and organizations are responsible for participant recruitment.
