Is your organisation making a positive difference towards women’s mental health in Australia? Or working towards building programs and support services that increase positive mental health outcomes for women? If yes, then apply for the Liptember Foundation Grant Program.

Priority Funding Areas

• women’s mental health issues affecting specific minority groups
  • Invest in specific programs and resources targeting the mental health conditions that are most prevalent to each minority group compared to the general population. Eg. mental health issues that rate significantly higher results for particular minority groups.
• women's mental health issues at specific life-stages
  • Invest in specific programs and resources targeting mental health conditions that appear at specific life stages in a woman's life compared to the general population. Eg. mental health issues that rate significantly higher results at certain life stages.
• gender specific conditions impacting mental health
  • such as:
    • Pregnancy and the perinatal period
    • Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
    • Endometriosis
    • Menopause and
    • Infertility/fertility challenges
• mental health support services
  • Support services or programs that minimise the main barriers for women seeking help, which are:
    • not understanding the importance of seeking help
    • women have limited time and its too long a wait to seek professional help
    • the cost associated with seeking support
    • stigma

Eligibility Criteria

• The organisation must be an ACNC registered non-profit, based in Australia with DGR status.
• Applications must meet all of the core criteria.
• Applications that address the "Priority funding areas" are most likely to be successful, however applications for funding outside of these areas are permitted as long as they meet the core funding criteria.
• Access to funding is not guaranteed and applications are via a competitive process.
• The Foundation accepts short and medium term applications up to three years.
• Multiple year projects will be subject to review every 12 months.
• There are no caps on funding submission requests.
• Scalable projects have the best opportunity for successful funding.

Core Criteria

• Impact: Genuine and clear impact shown to improve/support women’s mental health in Australia.
• Reportability: The outcome delivered should be succinctly reported and easily communicated to the wider community.
• Awareness & reach: The project has the potential to reach wider networks to promote the outcome achieved to bring further awareness around women’s mental health.
