Love Food Hate Waste Fund in New Zealand

The Auckland Council has announced the applications for the Love Food Hate Waste Fund that target on the reduction of food waste going to landfill through household behaviour change.

Food waste currently makes up around 45 per cent (by weight) of the average household rubbish bin or bag in Auckland.

Grants of up to $5000 will be available from the LFHW Fund.

Outcome

This grant scheme will support projects that raise awareness and help Aucklanders to make changes through cooking or budgeting skills, workshops and demonstrations.
