The Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation is currently accepting applications from the community-based non-profit organizations located in the United States for its autumn grants round.
Award Information
The grant amount typically ranges from 1,000 to $20,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Foundation does not make grants to individuals. Grants are considered for IRS-qualified non-profit organizations located within the United States.
- The Foundation will consider requests to support museums, cultural, and performing arts programs; schools, hospitals, educational and skills training programs, programs for youth, seniors, and the handicapped; environmental and wildlife protection activities; and other community-based organizations and their programs.
- To ensure that your organization is a qualified grantee under the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, a copy of the IRS letter stating your Section 501(c) (3) tax-exempt/not a private foundation status, must be included with the application.
How to Apply
- Interested applicants must submit letter of request not exceeding three pages in length, which includes a brief description of the purpose of the organization, and a brief outline of the program or project for which funding is sought.
- In addition to the letter, the request should include a 200-word synopsis of the proposal. The request should also include an itemized budget for the program or project, along with the total operating budget for the organization.
- Applicants must submit application packages in hard copy via postal mail.
