The McConnell Foundation’s mission is to foster a more resilient, sustainable, inclusive society, offers grants to encourage the participation of leading actors from Canadian civil society and representatives of living environments in the event.
The grant includes
- Travel expenses from Canada
- Hotel accommodation in Montréal during the event
- Registration fee for the conference
- Amount for daily expenses
Eligibility Criteria
- Representative of not-for-profit organizations incorporated at the federal and/or provincial level.
- Applications will be analyzed internally by a committee.
Criteria
- Expected benefits of participation (40%)
- How your participation in Adaptation Futures 2023 would allow better adaptation of living environments to climate change.
- Implementation of concrete measures or strategy(ies) for adaptation to climate change with the Canadian population.
- Reducing the impacts of climate change on vulnerable and marginalized populations in Canada.
- Relevance (25%)
- Consistency of the organization’s mission with the themes of the Adaptation Futures 2023 conference.
- Candidate Profile (20 %)
- Involvement in the community
- Professional experience
- Financial barriers (15%)
- Explain the nature of the financial barriers faced by the applicant and/or the organization for its participation in Future Adaptations 2023.
