The Auckland Council is offering grants under “Albert-Eden Local Board Accommodation Fund” to provide evidence of the accommodation costs.
Priorities
The Council welcomes grant applications that align to the following priorities:
- They are proud to live in Albert-Eden and feel like they belong.
- The people feel safe in their communities.
- The community is connected and everyone's involvement is welcomed.
- They feel ownership of the parks, and take care of them.
- The town centres are attractive to locals and visitors.
- The local businesses are well-supported and thriving, driving a strong local economy that creates opportunities for everyone.
- The unique cultural and environmental heritage is identified and protected, as well as being promoted and celebrated.
- They encourage and foster sustainable practices.
- The natural landscape is healthy and is looked after well.

Grant value: $2500 – $20,000
Criteria
Community groups and organisations applying for this fund need to consider the following criteria:
- You need to be a community organisation, as outlined in the Community Grants Policy.
- Your accommodation costs are for the period 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022.
- You provide evidence of the accommodation costs.
- Your organisation doesn't hold an Auckland Council community lease or community occupancy agreement.
- Your organisation is located in the area and primarily benefits the residents of the Albert-Eden local board area.
- Your organisation has been operating for a full financial year prior to the application date, and has provided its last full year financial statements and/or audited accounts.
- If the applicant is requesting a grant for a venue that has an Auckland Council community lease or community occupancy agreement, the council’s approval for the sub-lease or hireage needs to be verified by the applicant.
- The application cannot be for hireage costs of a council-managed venue or externally managed council facility.
- The application is not for religious ministry activities.
- Your organisation is not a political party, and the grant requested is not for the purposes of a political party.
