The National Institute of Corrections (NIC) is currently inviting applications for its Justice Involved Women: Developing an Agency Wide Approach. The program is the gender-responsive research and practice regarding women, drawn from a variety of sources reflecting the risk, needs and strengths of this population as well as focusing on those areas that contribute to women’s pathways into the criminal justice system.

The program will continue to be offered to teams of participants representing pre-trial, jail, prison and community corrections (probation, parole, community residential entities). Delivery of the curriculum to prison and community corrections generally focuses on a population that do not turn over as quickly as women in jails system.

Funding Information

NIC expects to make one award for as much as $140,000 for a 12-month project period.
