Nuffic inviting Applications to Promote Employment in Agriculture and Agricultural Growth – Tunisia

Nuffic is currently inviting applications to Promote Employment in Agriculture and Agricultural Growth to strengthening training programs teachers from institutions of technical education and training and agricultural professionals (TVET) to improve employability of graduates in the sector agriculture in Tunisia.

The proposed project must contribute to the following objective:

• Contribute to ensuring food security and better nutrition and to promote sustainable agriculture (SDG 2)

• Stimulate the growth of agricultural productivity

• Partnerships between people and organizations are inclusive and sustainable (SDG 17);
• Organizations essential for inclusive (sectoral) development in partner countries are reinforced by the arrival of a more competent workforce.

The following achievement (s) will make it possible to achieve this:

• TVET / HE organizations (in selected partner countries and the Netherlands) perform better in their key tasks, firmly anchored in their environment (in line with the needs of the national / regional labor market & aiming for inclusion)
• The knowledge and skills of individuals and organizations (in countries partners and the Netherlands) correspond to the specific needs of the national / regional work and aim for inclusion.

• Maximum funding available for this call (excluding the co-financing): EUR 1,100,000
• Maximum funding per project collaboration (excluding co-financing): EUR 250,000
• Final date for project implementation: Before March 31, 2022.

• The following are eligible as principal applicant for the grant (i) Dutch institutions secondary and / or higher vocational and academic education or (ii) other types of Dutch organizations able to provide training and which also contribute the strengthening of priority themes in the countries appearing on the List of countries are eligible for grants for OKP group training. These institutions must provide the training themselves; intermediary organizations are not eligible. The institutions must have sufficient financial and organizational capacity to conduct training. They can prove it by means of a CECO which is judged positive by Nuffic. Organizations must also demonstrate their experience in providing the desired training.
• To be eligible for a grant for OKP group training, an application must relate to the conduct of training for candidates meeting the criteria following:
  • Applicants work for one of the following types of national organizations and / or local: ministries, institutions for vocational or secondary academic education or higher, universities, private sector, commissions or NGOs. Applicants cannot work for:
    • a bilateral or multilateral organization;
    • a non-governmental organization which operates at the international level and whose the activity is focused on the representation of social interests, such as cooperation in ri development, protection of nature and the environment, health orghts of man.
