OneCause, a leading provider of digital fundraising technology, has officially opened the 2024 OneCause Cares Corporate Grants Program for applications from nonprofit organizations.
In its third year, this program aims to support nonprofit organizations with technology-based grants, helping them expand their reach and enhance their missions through the utilization of innovative fundraising technology. Since the program began a few short years ago, five grantee organizations have raised nearly a million dollars using OneCause software.
Focus Areas
- Mental Health & Wellness: nonprofits who promote self-care and wellness or address a critical challenge amongst underserved communities such as hunger, poverty, or social inequities.
- Community: nonprofits who support the vibrancy of a community, celebration of cultural diversity, preservation of history, or drive local impact.
- Sustainability: nonprofits who are working to safeguard the planet, natural resources, renewable energies, and conservation efforts.
Funding Information
- Subscription terms are twenty-four (24) concurrent months. The grant award does not apply toward the following:
- Credit card processing and transaction fees
- Equipment
- In-person/onsite support
- Grant award is up to $10,000. Unused portions are forfeited. Organization has up to fourteen (14) days to accept grant award and select software subscriptions.
Eligibility Criteria
- The OneCause Corporate Grants Program is designed to invest in communities. Applicants must be based in, serve, or demonstrate impact nationally within the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, D.C., Canada, and Puerto Rico. The mission of applicant organizations should also align with the Company’s cause focus areas.
- The OneCause Grants Program is open to any registered 501c3 organization in the United States and Canada.
- A nonprofit is eligible for one grant reward in a lifetime.
- OneCause looks at the following factors when awarding grants:
- Alignment with cause focus areas
- Needs based
- Software use case for fundraising or awareness building
- Clear focus on how the software will further the mission
- Adhering to deadline and application completeness
- Organization’s commitment to fulfilling grantee responsibilities
Ineligible
- OneCause does not award technology-based grants for the following:
- Individuals
- Research
- Organizations not exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
- Political causes, candidates, organizations or campaigns or organizations designed primarily to lobby
- Travel-related requests including student trips and tours
- Organizations who do not raise funds in USD
- Organizations who are required to use their own 3rd party payments platforms
- Organizations with programs that are primarily religious in nature or activities for sectarian purposes, such as faith-based indoctrination, church building campaigns, and general offerings. However, OneCause consider supporting such organizations provided the programs offered meet a need of the broader community, i.e., soup kitchens, homeless shelters, educational programs, and other social service needs.
