The Nordic Forest Research (SNS) and the Forest Bioeconomy Network (ForBioeconomy) hereby announce a joint research network call to promote collaboration and strengthen forest research related to bioeconomy in the Nordic region by networking activities.

The main focus area for this call is prevention and risk management of forest damage in the Nordic region. Climate change makes it impossible to overlook the increased risks of fire and flooding in the Nordic region. They can also have increased attacks by pests, and also see new pests and invasive species when climate is getting warmer.

Successful applicants may receive funds of maximum 200 000 SEK for activities over the course of one year (2023), covering at most 50% of the total budget for the network.
