Open Your Heart is currently inviting applications for its Community Event Sponsorship Grant with an aim to focus on raising awareness of hunger and homeless issues through sponsorship of events, conferences, and community forums.

Maximum Grants is $5,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Agencies that are organizing an event with the primary purpose of raising awareness of hunger and homeless issues or improving services to people who are hungry and or homeless. Fundraising events are not eligible.
- Agencies that serve hungry and homeless people as their primary function.
- Agencies must have 501(c)3 status OR be recognized as tax exempt by the IRS (i.e. schools, units of government or tribal governments) OR use a fiscal agent with 501(c)3 status.
- Organizations must not limit service based on individual’s race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, or disability.
- Open Your Heart will not fund programs whose primary focus is serving disaster victims, day care programs, group homes, or senior housing and nutrition programs.
