The International Renaissance Foundation announces a competition for partnership ideas in the crowdfunding initiative for social entrepreneurship.
With this competition, the Foundation aims to support new start-ups and strengthen existing social enterprises, promote social entrepreneurship and create positive practices for community-based social enterprise involvement.
With this initiative, the Foundation seeks to strengthen the practice of financing significant public initiatives through crowdfunding – raising funds from citizens.
Funding Information
The maximum amount that the Fund will co-finance under this initiative is UAH 150,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Participants of the competition: Non-governmental organizations, public associations, charitable foundations registered in any region of Ukraine are invited to participate in the competition.
Selection criteria for the first stage of applications:
- social component of the enterprise activity (clearly defined social problem solved by the enterprise; relevance of this problem to the enduring thematic priorities of the Renaissance Foundation – human rights, inclusion, gender equality, environmental sustainability, European integration of Ukraine, access to quality education, civic education, counteraction corruption; target audience (beneficiaries) of the project);
- realistic business ideas: the sustainability of the enterprise (for existing initiatives) or the realistic forecast of the enterprise reaching a certain level of profitability in the future;
- the ability of the project team and the financial justification (the realistic nature of collecting the claimed amount through crowdfunding – by analogy with similar projects or substantiating the project’s ability to raise the necessary funds; reasonable and balanced budget costs)
