The Penny Foundation is seeking applications for its Future Forward Fund to provide an opportunity to access resources from trusted organizations that are committed to the success of black-owned businesses and expanding greater Birmingham’s small business ecosystem.
Funding Information
Grants are to be used for business needs and operations. Rewards will be dispensed as follows: (10) $1,000 Grants
Rules
Organizations who apply must have a dedicated checking account for the business. The purpose of this grant is to help with loss of income due to business disruptions for public facing organizations. It will also help applicants generate additional revenue, business model pivots, and more.
Criteria
- Businesses will be awarded in two categories, which include businesses established for one to five years, and businesses established for more than five years.
- Applicants will have the chance to share their story via written or video submission. To apply, organizations will register their business and complete a business checklist.
