Deadline: 28-Feb-23
Vinnova is pleased to announce the Planning Grant for Collaboration with Canada, an initiative within the “Sweden Canada Innovation Initiative” program.
Objectives
- With this effort, they want to increase innovation cooperation with Canadian actors.
- Vinnova is tasked with promoting sustainable growth by improving the conditions for innovation. Improved conditions for innovation strengthen the capacity to reach the goals for sustainable development in Agenda 2030. Through their efforts, they contribute to the global commitment to reach the goals.
- Cooperation, international pooling of forces and innovation will be decisive for reaching the goals in Agenda 2030. With this call, they want to get more people to develop their innovative capacity in cooperation and create new solutions that contribute to the goals, within the framework of the call's priorities.
- Equality is a prerequisite for sustainable growth and is found in Agenda 2030, as a goal in itself but also as a perspective that should permeate the work with all goals. The call should therefore contribute to equal social development connected to two main perspectives.
- One aspect is that both women and men take part in the contribution, participate in and have influence over the project in an equal way. Another important aspect involves analyzing and deciding whether there are gender equality aspects (gender and/or gender) that are relevant within the problem area of the solution and its usefulness.
Funding Information
- Vinnova can grant up to SEK 100,000 per project and the total budget in this call is SEK 1 million. With this, they intend to finance a maximum of 10 planning projects.
Eligibility Criteria
- The call is aimed at Swedish companies and organisations. At least two Swedish actors must apply together. They would like to see the organization have a clear strategic investment towards Canada.
- Grants are only granted to Swedish organisations. Swedish organizations also mean foreign organizations that have a branch or place of business in Sweden. In addition, the costs in the project must be attributable to the operations of the branch or establishment.
- All participating companies must prove their capacity to implement the project and be able to finance their part of the project cost. The levels of public support applicable to companies are based on their size and turnover. The companies must be able to clearly describe a concrete added value of their participation in the project, their position in the value chain within the project and the future market potential of the project results. The project as a whole must also be able to demonstrate an obvious added value of the international cooperation between the selected parties from the two countries and present proposals for future projects.
