Launch Blue is excited to announce the Pre-Seed Accelerator, a 12-week program that focuses on training tech startup founders in lean startup practices while working to develop a scalable, repeatable business model.
Startups are challenged with weekly goals to gain stage-appropriate traction while developing their investor pipeline.
Pre-seed refers to an early-stage startup that has not yet raised its seed round of funding from outside investors yet. At the pre-seed stage, most startups are funded through founders, crowd-funding, grants, friends, family, or maybe an angel or two. Their program focuses on getting pre-seed startups ready to become attractive investments at the seed stage level.
Focus Areas
Attractive candidates for their program will have demonstrated success in one or more of the following areas:
- Early sales / Revenue
- Investment / Funding Raised
- Grants (SBIR, STTR, etc.)
- Active Users
- Minimum Viable Product / Beta Product
- Strong Founding Team / Founder Market Fit
- Other forms of credible traction
What material will the program cover?
The Launch Blue program focuses on helping startup founder’s work through each part of the business model canvas in detail. Some of the learning topic areas covered are:
- Market
- Scaling
- Competitor Analysis
- Fundraising
- Customer Relationships
- Revenue Models
- Sales and Customer Acquisition
- Key Metrics of Success
Eligibility Criteria
- They currently only accept applications from startups based in the United States. While their focus area is the Midwest and southeast regions, they will consider startups outside of those areas.
Note: Be advised, as a part of the interview round final selection process, applicants will be asked to raise $500.
