The Prince George’s County Government and the Chesapeake Bay Trust announce the seventh year of their partnership to support projects throughout Prince George’s County that aid neighborhoods while treating and controlling stormwater.
The goal of this program is to improve neighborhoods, improve water quality in the County’s waterways, and engage County residents in stormwater issues.
The Prince George’s County Stormwater Stewardship Grant Program funds on-the-ground restoration activities that improve neighborhoods, improve water quality, and engage Prince George’s County residents in the restoration and protection of the local rivers and streams of Prince George’s County.
Funding Information
- How much can be awarded and project types: Water quality projects (track 1) for $50,000 to $150,000, tree planting projects (track 2) for $50,000 to $100,000, and citizen awareness and engagement projects (track 3) for $5,000 to $30,000
- Available funding: $600,000 for Track 1 (Water Quality) and Track 3 (Citizen Awareness and Engagement) projects and $150,000 for Track 2 (Tree Planting) projects is anticipated.
Location
- Prince George’s County, Maryland, excluding the City of Bowie. All projects are done in Prince George’s County and support citizens in Prince George’s County.
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-profit organizations, municipalities, watershed organizations, education institutions, community associations, faith-based organizations, civic groups, and more.
