Program SESA: Energy Sustainability for Accessible Health to population of Southern Libya

The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation is seeking applications for the Energy Sustainability for Accessible Health to population of Southern Libya to support administrative decentralization, to strengthen the capacity of governance at local and individual municipal level, and to improve the management and supply of basic services.

This initiative is part of the strategy of the Italian Cooperation in Libya for the two-year period 2020 – 2021, which provides for interventions aimed at favoring access to basic services and in particular in the renewable energy, water and agricultural sectors, while maintaining a focus geographical area of the Fezzan region, from a perspective of the humanitarian-development-peace link.

As for the geographic areas target, the location of intervention selected have the highest levels of humanitarian emergency in the Fezzan region. In line with the indications received from the Office of the Ministry of Health for the South, there are particular shortcomings in the electricity supply at the following public health facilities:Sebha Cancer Center; Sebha Renal Center; Brak renal unit; Renal unit Idri; Ubari dialysis unit; Bent Beya Renal Dialysis Unit; Ghat kidney dialysis unit; Traghen kidney dialysis unit; Gatrun kidney dialysis unit; Hun kidney dialysis unit; Semnu kidney dialysis unit; Murzuq kidney dialysis unit. The project proposals and related needs analysis must therefore take into consideration, as a priority, the list of the 12 structures in line with the indications of the Libyan counterparts.

They can submit project proposals for the present Call for Proposals non-profit entities who, at the date of presentation of the project proposal, are in possession of all the following requirements:
