Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy Grant Program

Deadline: 4-Apr-22

The City of Kamloops is seeking applications for the Reaching Home (RH): Canada’s Homelessness Strategy Grant Program, a community-based program aimed at preventing and reducing homelessness.

It will provide direct funding to urban Designated Communities (DC), Indigenous (Indigenous Homelessness), rural, and remote communities to help them address their local homelessness needs. Funded by the Government of Canada’s Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy.

The Government of Canada has established a contract with the City of Kamloops, to act or serve as the Community Entity (CE) for the Designated Communities funding stream. The CE administers and manages the federal Reaching Home funds based upon the recommendations made through an independent Community Advisory Committee (CAB). The CAB is made up of many community partners and their goal is to ensure Reaching Home funding is allocated where it is needed most.
