The Regional Arts NSW is pleased to announce the Regional Arts Fund Project Grants to provide approximately $3.6 million per year to support artists and communities in regional and remote areas.
The Regional Arts Fund is part of the Australian Government’s Arts and Cultural Development Program that supports participation in, and access to, Australia’s arts and culture through developing and supporting cultural expression. The Regional Arts Fund is managed by Regional Arts Australia on behalf of the Australian Government.
Objectives
The objectives of the Regional Arts Fund are to support and promote participation in, and access to, Australia’s arts and culture in regional and remote Australia, and through doing so:
- encourage and support sustainable economic, social and cultural outcomes in regional communities;
- develop partnerships and networks which leverage financial and/or in−kind support for regional arts projects and encourage ongoing collaboration;
- develop audiences and broaden community engagement with the arts;
- increase employment and professional development opportunities for, and raise the profile of, regional and remote artists; and support quality and viability of artistic and cultural activity.
Funding Information
The maximum amount you can apply for is $30,000, but you must discuss with the RANSW Grants Manager if you are applying for amounts over $20,000. You can also apply for a multi-year grant for a maximum of two years to support the development and delivery of a single project across financial years with a maximum of $30,000 per year. Again, please discuss with the grants manager before applying.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible you must:
- be an individual or Australian incorporated organisation or local government organisation
- have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) that is registered to your name and location
- if required by the Australian Tax Office, be registered for the purposes of GST
- not have any outstanding reports, acquittals or serious breaches relating to any Australian Government funding or funding from a state or territory Regional Program Administrator. A serious breach is one that has resulted in, or warrants, the termination of a grant agreement.
