Regional Historic Heritage Grant (New Zealand)

The Auckland Council is seeking applications for its Regional Historic Heritage Grant to encourage best practice and community involvement in the care of our regional heritage sites and places.

The Programme aims to preserve and enhance historic heritage as a legacy to pass on to future generations. Heritage reinforces the sense of history and place, is central to their wellbeing, and helps define what is unique and distinctive about Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland.

Funding priorities for 2022/2023:

They will also consider applications for other services, projects, events, and activities. However, these may be considered a lower priority. The following activities are identified as lower priorities for the 2022/2023 round:

The fund has one funding round per year, where applicants can request up to $50,000 per project.
