Deadline: 06-Feb-23

The United States Agency of International Development (USAID) is now accepting applications for the Empowerment of women in the solid waste management system: Development of seed capital delivering model and business advisory service for women-led entrepreneurship and economy projects.

CCBO Peru intends to contribute to the formation of a value chain in the management of solid waste and a more inclusive emerging circular economy. To this end, CCBO implements strategies that allow women to break down barriers that prevent access to technical, management and financial support.

Under this solicitation, CCBO seeks to deliver financial resources, and technical and management assistance through an incubation system for women-led entrepreneurships in the solid waste management and circular economy in Pisco, Paita, and Máncora. CCBO will fund one (1) applicant to design and implement an innovative seed capital delivering model and advisory service for selected women-led business proposals.

CCBO intends to fund one (1) organization to design and implement a programmatic model for the delivery of seed capital to women entrepreneurs, accompanied by technical assistance and business management training so they can successfully implement their models and business plans. It is expected that this model responds to the local intervention contexts of the CCBO Peru Program, Pisco, Máncora and Paita, which implies knowing and integrating financial, educational, business institutions, among others, that allow enhancing the support provided to women entrepreneurs of solid waste management chains and circular economy. The grant resulting from this RFA will be for an estimated period of ten (10) months.
