UNDP is calling Expression of Interests for Seed Capital, Venture Capital and Innovation Programs for Bio-Businesses to help governments develop a strong case for increased investment and improve efficiency in investment.
Conservation, sustainable use and equitable distribution of the benefits of ecosystems and biodiversity, with an approach aimed at determining and covering the financing needs of the National Biodiversity Strategy of Costa Rica and its global goals, and once the financial resource mobilization plan, manage concrete solutions for the projects identified as priorities by the government authorities associated with the initiative.
Objectives
- The aim of this expression of interest is to identify consulting firms or organizations that can offer services to design and implement programs impact investment to support project(Investment readiness ) specific s for bioeconomy and positive impact and measurable biodiversity , and / or conservation and regeneration of ecosystems .
- The ultimate goal, it is intended that companies or organizations bidders interested can potentially operate as partners first floor for placement directly to fund equity seed capital and venture available for entrepreneurship and innovation through of the SBD of Costa Rica.

Results
- This expression of interest ( EoI ) seeks to identify and pre-select any consulting firms or organizations that are in charge of implementing one or more of the programs impact investment to support project ( Investment readiness ) specific for bioeconomy and positive and measurable impact on biodiversity and ecosystem conservation, for which it seeks to assume a possible role of operating agencies of the SBD placing funds first floor as the program types previously descrit or s and according to the degree of maturity projects that would be part of the program.
Eligibility Criteria
- UNDP in Costa Rica invites national and / or international companies interested in applying to provide services in support of the BIOFIN Finance for Biodiversity Initiative, a global project implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
