SF Environment releases Grant Funds for Community-based Organizations in the US

The San Francisco Department of the Environment (SF Environment) is seeking multiple qualified community-based organizations (Proposers) to provide proposals for Community Zero Waste projects in San Francisco’s District 5 and Toxics Reduction projects in any San Francisco community.

Zero Waste and Toxics Reduction and Healthy Ecosystems programs work together to reduce toxics and waste going into San Francisco’s waste stream through a range of programs such as recycling of products like batteries and compact fluorescent light bulbs.

SF Environment strives to ensure they are meeting the needs of all San Franciscans and providing in-depth programs to neighborhoods throughout the city. They will:

The minimum grant amount in each category will be $10,000. Maximum grant amounts are $65,000 for Toxics Reduction grants and $100,000 for Community Zero Waste grants. Total amount of grant funds available for the initial grant terms are:

Geographic Focus – City and County of San Francisco.
