Applications are now open for the Shannon Community Development Trust Grant program to provide funding assistance to the residents of the Shannon township for Community Development initiatives that include:
- educational activities including scholarships for educational purposes
- the provision of training and equipment for the protection of the community
- the provision of financial assistance for events recognising the involvement of community members
- the alleviation of hardship (in some circumstances).
Funding Information
It has approximately $13,000 to distribute annually but this varies year to year.
How much can you apply for?
- Each grant awards a different amount annually. Within the criteria for each grant they have listed the total amount available annually, and a guide for the typical size of grant that each individual application may be considered for.
- Please contemplate the likely funding margins when making your application. While the subcommittee of Council does have the authority to make exceptions to the criteria, this very rarely occurs.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants include groups or individuals who:
- Live within the Shannon township
- Show their project will directly benefit the Shannon Community
- Do not have excess reserve funds.
