The Northern New York Community Foundation is seeking applications for its Shaw Harbor Foundation Charitable Fund to support nonprofit organizations and eligible public organizations that strengthen the quality of life for Northern New York residents, with special consideration given to those serving the towns of Adams, Ellisburg, Henderson, Lorraine, Rodman, Worth, and Hounsfield.
John S. McNeely established the Shaw Harbor Foundation in 2017 to support and enhance the community where he and his family chose to grow a once small business into a thriving international firm. Each fall, tri-county nonprofit organizations will have an opportunity to seek grant support from the Shaw Harbor Foundation through an application process the Northern New York Community Foundation will facilitate.

- Up to $10,000 is available in 2020. Please note that multiple projects may receive full or partial support.

Eligibility Criteria
- Targeted Population:
- Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties with special consideration given to Jefferson County towns of Adams, Ellisburg, Henderson, Lorraine, Rodman, Worth, and Hounsfield.
- Nonprofit organizations eligible for funding must have confirmed 501(c)(3) classification through the Internal Revenue Service.
- An organization that does not have this classification may partner with an eligible nonprofit organization, municipality, or entity to serve as a fiscal sponsor.
- Agencies seeking funding through this opportunity must confirm partnership with an eligible nonprofit organization or fiscal sponsor at the time a grant proposal is submitted.
