The Swedish Institute has launched a special call for project funding for the benefit of target groups in Ukraine under SI Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme.
This call for funding is a response to the present situation in Ukraine and the resulting need for extra support, cooperation, contact and expertise. There are many partnerships and networks in the Baltic Sea region that are in a position to initiate new, or build on existing, cooperation. Projects should help Ukrainian actors and target groups to strengthen their skills and thus create conditions for the future reconstruction of the country.
Target Groups
- Support for target groups within academia in Ukraine
- Projects aimed at supporting doctoral students and younger researchers (postdocs) in Ukraine.
- Budget: minimum SEK 500,000, maximum SEK 1,000,000
- Project period: 12 – 24 months
- Support for local public sector in Ukraine
- Projects aimed at strengthening the institutional competence of the local public sector in Ukraine. They should address issues which are important for cooperation in the current situation and help to create conditions for the reconstruction of a sustainable Ukrainian society.
- Budget: minimum SEK 500,000, maximum SEK 1,000,000
- Project period: 12 – 24 months
- Support for youth and young adults in Ukraine
- Projects aimed at supporting youth and young adults in Ukraine at educational institutions equivalent to upper secondary school and academic undergraduate education.
- Budget: minimum SEK 500,000, maximum SEK 1,500,000
- Project period: 12 – 24 months
Eligibility Criteria
- The application must propose a project that intends to address one or more concrete and pressing needs that target groups in Ukraine are facing.
- Prioritised country: Ukraine is the prioritised country in this call. This means that the target groups in Ukraine must be the main beneficiaries.
- Main applicant: The main applicant must be a legal entity based in Sweden.
- Programme countries: The programme covers the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Sweden, Germany and Ukraine. Please note that the specific rules for each of the above three themes regarding how different countries can participate in projects are described in the application documents and the Instructions.
